As the GCSE Science system covers many schools, you need to include your 4-character school code at the end of your login name. For instance, a user with a login of jsmith and school code of 1234 will need to enter jsmith1234 as their login to access the system.
The New Scientist news links on the website link to articles on the newscientist.com website. When you log in you will see news stories from New Scientist. These are updated every day. At the lesson level we have provided links to a mix of free and subscription-only content matched to the specification. You will only see the first few paragraphs of a subscription-only story, and will only be able to read the full article if you log in to newscientist.com. Your school may have a subscription to New Scientist - ask your teacher if you have trouble accessing any of the articles.
The content player is currently optimised to work with screen resolutions of 1024 x 768 or higher. We are working on a version for resolutions of 800 x 600 and this will allow you to view all of the content without needing to scroll the screen.
This is a known problem with some managed networks. We are working on a solution to this problem - in the meantime, ask your teacher to help you get it working.
